For all the wrestlers but Ozaki, this is the first time barbed wire match. At the press conference announcing the Hardcore Ladies to be held, Nakajima herself spoke up, demanding a barbed wire match. Ozaki responded, "Do you want to form a tag with me or fight with me?" Nakajima said, "I want to fight with you." Bambi, who also wanted to challenge a barbed wire match, joins Ozaki while Nagashima, who's been in conflict with her mentor Ozaki on the Oz Academy ring, becomes Nakajima's tag partner.

Since both teams are heels, their followers (Police for Ozaki and Takaco; Zap T and Sasori for Dump and Tsuchiya) also participate in the match. I think this kind of pro-wrestling match is unique to joshi puroresu.
