Background: Satomura and Ayako fought the single match only once in the past. It was an AAAW single championship match on 30th April, 2004, where Satomura seized the champion belt from Ayako. Three years on, the two leading wrestlers representing the 21st century joshi puroresu meet for the second time around on Satomura's own promotion ring.
